Indonesian Pavillion at Venice Biennale 2014

For the first time in history of Venice Biennale, Indonesian architects had participated in one of the biggest international architectural event in the world.

Indonesian Pavilion was located at the Arsenale (Venice, Italy) and it offered a peek into the country’s past 100 years of architectural history with the theme ‘Craftmanship: Material Consciousness’. The moving images were projected onto glass panels, telling Indonesian’s story through the development of six materials – traced over time: wood, stone, brick, steel, concrete and bamboo.

One of PHL Architects’ works had been selected to be part of the exhibition. It’s displayed from 7th June – 23rd November 2014 in Indonesia Pavilion at Venice Biennale, Italy.
